It’s gone.
After just over 3 years of slowly building up my following and gaining the foothold I have today. I have some short and sweet reasons as to why that may be of interest to you who may be attempting to find it, or are confused as to why my profile no longer shows up.
- The state of the platform is far too precarious. I will not discount how funny it was to watch TikTok glaze Trump for bringing them back online many months ago (after he was the reason they were taken down), but as someone who wants to do this whole “content” thing somewhat for the long term, I do not see the precarity of the platform’s existence as any incentive to remain on the app.
- I have concerns with new platform ownership. As someone who tries his best to distance himself from Israeli business and influence in the wake of their ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people, the news that TikTok may now be owned at least partly by pro-Israel billionaires is not something that I saw as positive, or as a reason as to why I shouldn’t get out of there. I am also fully aware that businesses like Amazon (Twitch’s parent company) and Google (YouTube’s parent company) are also in hot water, but I feel as though I have chosen the lesser of the evils here.
- Not-so-fun-fact: Did you know that TikTok’s primary cloud provider, Oracle, has donated military equipment to the IDF? Oracle also profoundly states that they stand with Israel.
- TikTok has always preached authenticity, but somehow still felt so soulless and prescribed. Not to get too philosophical, but TikTok always kinda contradicted itself. “Be genuine, be yourself!” Meanwhile, TikTok introduces really stupid arbitrary rules that limited my creativity. I always (somehow) try to leave my audiences something to take home from each stream or video I do. I want to be proud of the content that I make, and I want people to enjoy the content I am proud of making. For example, videos that have good post-production do really badly just because that’s not what the algorithm prefers. It was always discouraging to put so much work into production for both live and prerecorded content only to subsequently be punished for doing so.
- People on TikTok have a lot of gall. I won’t explain this one too deeply. Instead, I’ll let the slideshow below carry the weight of this explanation. Please view with caution: contains language that would make your mother gasp…

I hope this explains things. More or less, I left TikTok because I’m a big boy creator now who actually benefits from the better moderation tools and better quality of life on platforms like YouTube and Twitch.
For those of you who haven’t gotten the memo yet, I am live as per usual, just on YouTube and Twitch now. I also have a schedule! So yeah. Same deal as on TikTok, but now I have fully made the platform transition. This means that:
- You can watch in UHD (1440p60) on YouTube, 1080p60 on Twitch, and,
- Not have to suffer because the strange gooners come out of their smelly man-cave the microsecond I hit the “Go Live” button. Because we actually have good mod controls now. Imagine that.
So come join our ever-growing new community on these new platforms, our (good) chat will be very happy to welcome you! Use the links at the top (and bottom, if that’s what you’re into) of this post to go to wherever your heart desires.
